Discussion Board Introduction: This discussion board will primarily cover elements of Texas History from the end of the Civil War in 1865 to the present. The assignment consists of two parts – a Primary Post and at least one Reply Post. See Deadlines at the end for specific due dates. For the content of your posts, select at least one of the articles listed and linked below. Then, use that article to write a Primary Post for the discussion board that addresses all of the prompts below. Your Primary Post must address all of the prompts in one single post. After you have submitted your Primary Post, you will be able to see other students’ posts. The last part of this assignment will be to reply to at least one other student’s Primary Post. This assignment does not require any outside sources. The Primary Post can be completed using only the article and the textbook. If you choose to use outside sources, make sure to cite them, both in the text of your post and in a Works Cited at the end. Grades for the Primary Post will be based on the content of the answer and must be more than 300 words in length. Direct quotes do not count toward the required word count. To make your Primary Post, click on the link at the top of this page entitled Discussion Board 1. Then, select Create Thread. In the subject line, write the name of your chosen article. Next, type or copy your answer into the large text box below. Finally, click submit. If you would like to save your work and return to it, you can use the Save Draft function, but do not forget to come back later and submit. I cannot see your draft and thus cannot grade it.
